Tonight is the night! Water Boudoir Photography is back for the summer and it all starts tonight in Elma! I have two water boudoir shoots with two gorgeous ladies and it just continues on from there. I love doing Boudoir Photos in Water! The water adds such an amazing element!

Light is such an incredible concept and it can make or break a photo. That is why I typically do water boudoir photography in the early evening during the summer here in the Pacific Northwest. When the sun is low on the horizon it provides soft, filtered light through the trees and just makes so much of an impact for the photos. And watching that light bounce off the water is incredible!

Playing with sunlight, water, and reflections is always so much fun for me and it’s quite an adventure for me and the women I get to photograph. I am such a lover of sunlight and summertime! It was so so beautiful out for this session and I could have just stayed out there all night! This water boudoir photography session made my photographer heart so so happy!

I’ve done many photo sessions with Jessy in the past and she actually did boudoir photos in water with me the very first summer that I started doing them. With Jessy I’m always excited to see what color her hair would be and this time isn’t it absolutely gorgeous how the light dances through that brightness?

She met me and then followed me over to our photo shoot location and I was surprised that absolutely no one was down there with how gorgeous it was outside. Typically there’s one or two people playing in the water or throwing a ball for their dog. But we go back to a location where they can’t see us. You always run that risk of people watching you when you’re doing photos outdoors. But I try to keep these as private as I can.
